 Member Since: October 18, 2013  RK: 1 MP: 0   | Tuesday April 1, 2014 10:18 AM I'm in the middle of painting 3000 points of WHF Empire by the end of May, so, unsurprisingly, my threat is all about that project. I got started at the end of March by painting a unit of 10 Archers. I plan to base those this month. I will also paint 10 more Archers and base them. I'm also painting 24 Knights and basing them. I will absolutely paint more than that, but I don't yet know what order I'm going to do the rest (there are several war machines, a steamtank, two units of demigryph knights, several wizards, Luthor Huss, a master engineer, Ludwig Schwarzhelm, and Karl Franz on Deathclaw remaining to choose from). I also need to paint a Reaper Pathfinder Red Dragon for my FLGS this month. My threat is:Base 10 Empire Archers - COMPLETE Paint and base 10 Empire Archers - COMPLETE Paint and base 24 Empire Knights - COMPLETE Paint and base two Reaper Pathfinder Red Dragons - COMPLETE I'll add to this as I figure out what order I'm doing the rest in! Member Since: October 18, 2013 RK: 1 MP: 0 | Wednesday April 2, 2014 7:45 PM Here's a shot of what I did last night on the horses for the knights. I will be painting them in groups of 4. I turned the 3rd from the left guy around so the picture shows the metallic paint before shading as well as after shading with black and white non-metallic paint (the other 3). I have only worked on the body armor on one side so far, the rest of the armor is untouched. I'm probably going to deepen the shadows on the armor a bit and add a touch of blue. |

Member Since: October 18, 2013 RK: 1 MP: 0 | Saturday April 5, 2014 8:38 AM Just a quick update. I worked more on the first set of horses last night. I suppose I'm about done with them - just a little bit more armor and some details on the heads left, then finish basing. Here's a picture: I also worked on the basing for the first set of archers. I actually had a tiny bit of painting to do before they were ready to be stuck on the bases, so I did that last night and then attached them to the bases I built the day before yesterday.  You can see the beginnings of the next set of horses in the back of that picture. The archers still need a coat of varnish and then some flock, which I will probably do today or tomorrow. |

I've also been working on the first 2 sets of horses, which are actually pretty close to finished. The second set is pictured here. I'll finish up details later tonight.  As soon as those details are wrapped up I'll finish the basing on those 8 horses and prime the next two sets of 4 horses. Then, I'll start prep on the dragon. |

I didn't completely finish the first 8 horses last night, but I came close. I started painting their bases instead of finishing up the eyes, teeth, and face armor. I'll finish all that stuff and their basing today. I should also be able to get started cleaning up the Red Dragons. I'm now painting two instead of one, lol. Threat updated accordingly. |
