Child Safety
Visitors to The Wargamers Consortium or any of its subsidary sites may choose to
register for a Wargamers Consortium Membership Account. The registration
page prominently notes that children under 13 years of age are not eligible to
register at The Wargamers Consortium Network. We do not collect personally identifiable
information from children under 13 years of age. As a result, children under the
age of 13 may not be able to use all areas of The Wargamers Consortium or it's subsidary
sites.
What this Children's Privacy Policy Covers
- The Wargamers Consortium Privacy Policy covers all data collected and used by
the organization. In addition to The Wargamers Consortium Privacy Policy, this Children's
Privacy Policy provides further information and privacy protections for our online site
visitors who are under the age of 13.
Information Collection and Use
- When someone under age 13 attempts to register with The Wargamers Consortium, a
notification will be displayed that they may not register an account with The Wargamers Consortium.
- When any user 13 years and older registers for a Wargamers Consortium Membership Account, we require
name, email address, birth date, gender, zip code, and personal preferences.
- The Wargamers Consortium uses this information to create and maintain accounts, for
research, and may use this information to customize the advertising and content
seen on our pages.
- Under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, no web site operator can require,
as a condition of participation in an activity, that a child under the age of 13 disclose
more information than is reasonably necessary. By not collecting any information from
children under 13, The Wargamers Consortium more than abides by this requirement.
See the FTC's COPPA website for more information.
