Well here it is now..... it will be painted later, but this is how good the stripper (super clean) works. you can still see a bit of red in some of the recesses. this will be remedied after another session of brushing.      As for this threat Im still working on the tracks and should have pics in the next day or so. its a tedious process and Im slow at doing it!!! Member Since: May 10, 2013 RK: 1 MP: 0 | Thursday January 16, 2014 9:18 PM Well I got the tracks DONE!!!     these were pieced together from the old tracks and surprisingly I was able to do alot of cheating and reused most of the broken links. Im not terribly worried about the detailed lok as much as I am about "Table Top" look. I used "Framers Matting" as my stock to fill in the missing parts and only cut a rectangle. you can detail it if you wish with cutouts on the sides for the indv links and use a ballpoint pen to make a divot to look like links but I dont care enough with this tank to do that. Next will be spraypaint and then to the paintbooth!! Im painting it with Navy (Dark Blue) Krylon American classics because thats what I have here and can find close to the color I was painting them before. from there I will Airbrush highlights and such on it then details, and final step will be weathering!!! Huzzah for the long weekend!! |

I worked on a sweet color modulation and when I sprayed GT Blue on it It completely went away..... SO I went over again with white and then blue. it started doing this kinda spotty thing so I let it dry longer and after it was done I darkened it with thinned GT Midnight blue to get it back to the Navy blue I needed. I hope it stays this color. Im not sure If I did the GT right but I doubt it since it was such a headache. Anyway Here is to MORE Paint tomm and a close but sure finish!! I found this beauty     and with this ONE PICTURE I can sum up the awesome paintjob done on this baby!! Look how lovely!!  Anyway all day today I have stripped this down and now it looks like this  SO Here is Fast and loose with painting to finish this threat by the end of the month!! |
