I agree with CaptainSloan, I think a slight elevation on the display base will do wonders. Look forward to seeing how it all progresses! |

Just hoping I can get him done, looks like a lot overtime at work again.Really happy with how the face turned out. If you look close you can see a blue eye looking back at cha...lol Fingers crossed on a finish. Might have to put him a temporary base if I do. Wish me luck. Sarge "If you ain't CAV, you ain't!!" |

I've always found skin tones extremely challenging shy away from miniatures with too much on display. This cuts out some awesome sculpts from my 'to-do list' such as this one. Can you give a little advice? My friendly local hobby store is 'The Modeller's Nook' in Belfast, Ireland. There's talk of painting classes starting up in the near future which I think I'm going to sign up for. I've been going there on and off since I was a kid, and I always like to support a local business when I can. Hopefully post some new tricks myself before long! Good luck with the rest of the threat! I'm really into my W&N Kolinsky series 7 brushes…I get them from the UK via Amazon…cheaper than driving into Houston and paying taxes and gas… I use a cheaper W&N one also for "grunt" work….but details I leave to the Kolinsky brushes…I was thinking about the G&G ones that are double end. especially for the easy use on blending... |
