Part of my new years resolution is to actually participate in and complete the monthly painting threats here. Starting off for the year is a batch of Partisans mostly from Black Tree Design. Some time ago I bought a bundle deal for boltaction and never actually got around to them. Hopefully I can get them all painted and hopefully manage to paint some extra. All told I think I have 30+ of them from a variety of manufacturers thanks to an astounding sale I came upon at a game store in Berkeley CA a while ago. I will take some photos this weekend after priming. My unofficial goal is to finish more than 20, but given my recent track record, I figured I should pace myself. |

My great 3 day weekend plan of getting a lot of progress on this was kind of shot to hell though. Here are some pics of what I hope to get done, but now they are primed.     If I have the time I was hoping to get some extra russians done as well.  |

Member Since: March 1, 2014 RK: 1 MP: 0 | Tuesday January 27, 2015 1:09 AM Got the eyes and flesh tones painted on.Given that I am just going for table top and nothing fancy (basecoat, dip) to match my russians I decided to use 3 different skin tones to vary it up a bit. Here is a general overview of what I've got done so far.  |

Got really close, but just couldn't manage to finish it. Hopefully I will get them done this week and roll on to the next threat. I will get pics of my progress soon though. |

Now just trying to get little bits done each day and finding myself being less and less pleased with the whole batch. Keep finding new little flaws and whatnot, but I am frankly at the point of just wanting to be done with them, and intellectually I know that the finishing shade will hide just about every minor imperfection.....but it still drives me a bit bonkers. definitely bit off more than I should have with this one. |
