Member Since: May 15, 2013 Initative RK: 1 MP: 0 | Monday May 20, 2013 9:53 AM To post a video, using the WGC FB welcome video an an example:1. Find the URL of the video, it will look something like this: If you have anything past the random letters and number string you see in this image (i.e. you have a %, /, #, =, etc.), stop your copy at the end of the string, but make SURE you have all of the string. Example: Oldgit's Hellbrute update#2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mP17C_BcdZ4&list=PLihrke5A5LxdSMI9n1jaULtLegEhPqsoG&index=3 should be shortened to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mP17C_BcdZ4 . EDIT: DK fixed the URL requirements, youtube long and short urls work now. 2. Copy the URL 3. Click the Video button on the Message window. It the one with the arrow in this image: 4. Paste the URL in the pop-up window's text box and click OK. It will automatically put the code in place for you. (The code is [ video ] url [ /video ] without the spaces for those that would rather just type it.) This gives you: For an image: 1. Upload your image to in the internet (photobucket, flickr, facebook, your own webserver, et. al.) 2. Copy the URL of the image (on photo share sites like photobucket and flickr you can just click the "direct" box, for facebook right click on the image and then click "Copy Image Location".) 3. Click the IMG icon on the Message box, it's the one just to the left of the icon with the arrow in the above step 3. 4. Past the URL in the pop-up window's text box and click OK Same "automatic coding for you" process. (The code is [ img ] url [ /img ] again without spaces). Member Since: May 15, 2013 Initative RK: 1 MP: 0 | Tuesday June 18, 2013 6:10 PM How To for flickr; many thanks to Y-bird for his image; the "above" refers to a reply in the Showcase forum version of this thread:For a flickr link, you have to find the actual URL for the image itself. What Y-bird posted above is actually a link to a WEBPAGE not an Image. To get the image link, click "More Ways to share" in the bottom right (the box with the arrow coming out of it), then "Grab the HTML/BB code". If you are in HTML code (two radial buttons bellow the text box), you will find the url in quotations (") after the part "img src="; in BB it's the same URL inside the [ img ] tags. So, using Y-bird's example above: http://www.flickr.com/photos/97358755@N04/9060593761/ is the URL if you click "Grab the Link" in the Share pop-up, and this DOESN'T WORK. The actual url is: http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7339/9060593761_5b836a8427.jpg So, by putting this URL in place in the img code (to do so, click the BB radial, copy and paste the entire code...it makes a link and an image. If you don't want the link, just delete everything ouside of the img tags): Death before Dishonor -- Nothing before Coffee Nihil curo de ista tua stulta superstitione |
