I've got much in need of finishing, in various stages, but I'll start with the naked Grey Hunters first.My August Painting Threat is to paint two 10 man Grey Hunter Squads, and four Wolf Guard Terminators (unfortunately I just finished the fifth which is an Arjac conversion!) ...man never though I'd describe FINISHING a model as unfortunate... Member Since: May 11, 2013 RK: 1 MP: 0 | Thursday August 22, 2013 2:46 PM Finally an update! Things aren't didn't go as quickly as I'd planned, but I intend to dig in and go. I've got my Terminators all assembled and base coated, having moved on to details on some, and finished converting one into Arjac:  I've also got my first 10 Grey Hunters assembled, and base coated, moving on to details as well after a touch more highlighting:   My final 10 Grey Hunters are mostly assembled and will soon catch up to the others with a quick pass of the airbrush:    Only about a week to go, but a lot of work to do. Though I think if I really grind, I can do it. I had intended on really taking my time, maintaining a good pace so I could try out new techniques. After trying it out on Arjac, and the time he took, There's no way. So, I'll use the easy button and airbrush highlights instead of trying out two brush blending. C&C welcome of course. |

Running into a little trouble trying to sculpt long hair and beards on my guys. If I can get the hang of it, I'll be going back through and doing it to some of my other guys since I much prefer the look to most of what comes in the box. However, with less than a week left, I have to face up to the fact that I'm not going to be completing my oath. I figured it was ambitious, but I think it was too much so. Maybe I'll carry it over for next month. Is it cheating to do that? |
