I might highlight the blue once I'm done, but then again I am going to have sixty of these so it might just be a waste; and the way they fly off the battle field...... ah I'm finding issues all over the place, corrected the middle one here, but I'm just not going to fix the mold lines now, the next assembly then. let me know what ya think.   |

I find that if I take pictures of the model as i put it together, I can usually spot any flaws, such as mold line, or areas need filling. Can use a mirror also, but I like the photos, I usually delete most of them after the build.Sarge "If you ain't CAV, you ain't!!" |

Flesh looks great if you base it in a purple color and layer on light flesh tones very thinly. leave a hint of the base color, let it tint the flesh colors in the recesses. Use a bigger brush, I had been using tiny detail brush sized to get even base colors on. That was slowing me way down. My new brushes are 3 and 1. using a very soft synthetic round tip. Learned how to effectively use/do five at-a-time factory assembly process. I started out by doing one mini all the way through and was taking a whole day to get done. did four like this. Then I thought maybe I could do 10 in one day, only got six done and that was taking a day off of work to do it. Thursday I decided to just do five and see how that goes. I got them done in four hours. Maybe it was that I had already completed ten? Friday same thing, I spent four hours and got five done. Saturday spent a decent amount of time, off and on painting as the family did other things, I got the last done.  Now I have seven skeletons to finish and finalizing this Necromancer. What do you think about the base? Too high? Not totally complete just yet, still messing with the base, but the figure is done.  |

As for the base, I guess if you like it, then it should be good enough. Don't play so not sure if there's line of sight issue, but it looks good to me.Sarge "If you ain't CAV, you ain't!!" |
