![]() Member Since: May 10, 2013 ![]() RK: 1 MP: 0 ![]() ![]() | Sunday September 15, 2013 9:50 AM It is not iridescent. It is chameleon paint, like those cars that change colors as the pass you. It is hard to capture the effect with the phone and no helpers around. Also it will show more after a coat of gloss. Here is a link to the color I used. http://www.spazstix.com/airbrush-paint/05500-color-change-paint-gold-green-orange-purple-2ozI was really surprised. I expected it to be difficult to spray, but I didn't have any issues with clogging or tip dry. |

(shudder)Have you tried backing them with white? Then also there are the translucent colors, you can do a metallic gold base with a dark red translucent for candy color. Oh the fun to be had! |

That is the same amount of paint sprayed on the cardboard as on the model. I don't know how many coats you would have to do to get something decent over white. I am thinking of trying it over a copper. |

I am only going for table top with them because the bits are so small and there was so much flash. My eyes are just too old to do detail work on these. Also, I really want to get them onto the table. I still need to choose a color for the base rim. I am thinking it needs to be light and bright to make the mini stand out more. Suggestions welcome. ![]() Thanks for looking. Amy |

As for a base color, you may want to use some of the colors from the models, or go with a neutral grey. Just a thought.Sarge "If you ain't CAV, you ain't!!" |

I think it got corrupted in the upload to photobucket. On the plus side, I got my new dslr today. Just waiting for everyone else to go to bed so I can set up a table with my lightbox in the living room. |
