Member Since: May 16, 2013 RK: 1 MP: 0 | Thursday September 12, 2013 11:57 AM Ok in a nutshell. After assumbly I primed is with grey vallejo surface primer. Once that was for I went back and forth between greys , troll hide and lust pink in the minitaire line with the airbrush until I was happen with the belly sack and the base for the teal. Then Got the brush out and base coated the carapace with a deef blue and the claws/talons with a dark red. Worked the blue up from dark to white. About 9-10 highlight layers I think.(lost track) Did the same with the reds right up through oranges and yellow on a few extreme highlights. Then highlighted the teal areas with arcane blue from P3, That is about where it is now. The skin is grey but really not highlighted much. I wanted it to be together before I highlighted the skin. Still need to finished the poison sacks and the adrenal glands as well. The sacks have not really been started at all. In between various stages I hit the entire model with a thin matt coat with the airbrush just to protect it. I have been avoiding using washes on this piece wimply to see if I could but I may use one on the poison sacks and adrenal glands. Will have to see. Ork warboss might have snuck into one of there pics but he is just primed and drybrushed prehighlight with a crappy green basecoat on. Still a lot of work on him to do.But pics! Really like how this turned out. Wish I had seen the bad glue line on the rear lleg before it would have been a crap ton of work to fix but C'est la vie.
