Member Since: September 9, 2013 RK: 1 MP: 0 | Friday September 13, 2013 7:25 AM The other night I started on this guy. His dagger was a really crooked, IDK how much you can tell from the original picture. Looking around I found this method online:
I was nervous at first thinking something horrible (like the details melting away) would happen. I ended up trying it anyway because I couldn't stand the little bends and warps in the model. To my surprise, the model sprung right back into place, dagger straight with almost 0 manipulation. Removed some of the bad mold lines, washed him up and let it dry over night. I was planning on priming it with some White Krylon but after theSandbin (one of my room mates) advised against it, because Reaper says you don't have to prime them, I decided not to (also it was raining pretty hard last night and I didn't want to spray inside). Started some super basic base coating last night. This is the result.  |

Not any more progress pics because I started this morning and finished about 20 min. ago and.... forgot to take progress pics.  Full Album Here I was surprised that without priming the models took to the paint really well. They were just washed with soap and water and set to dry. Kayla, theSandbin and I all live together, so if the area that all the pictures are taken look similar, that's why. [[Edited by Moridarus on Sunday September 29, 2013 8:11 PM]] |
