Unfortunately whomever glued the dread together first used cheap glue as it all fell apart. I will get it glued back together and magnetize the arms. I bought the forge planet Autocannon Dreadnought arms. We will see how Grey Knight like I can make this dreadnought.[[Edited by BigPapaNurgl3 on Thursday October 31, 2013 7:44 PM]] |

When I got this thing used somebody had spray can painted this thing with bright red krylon enamel gloss. The poor thing needed a bullet to the sarcophagus to put it out of its misery. I soaked it in simple green for a month and every day during that month I came home from work and took a toothbrush to it. There are some red areas in the primer pictures. I assure you that once I saw then I re primed and covered them. You wont see it in the final product. |

Member Since: August 28, 2013 Initative RK: 1 MP: 0 | Wednesday October 2, 2013 9:17 PM I am doing overhead light OSL lighting on this model. Here are the steps and the colors I used to base coat the model..1. Valejo Model Air Black Metal 4 to 1 with VMA Steel painted straight down from the top in a 45 degree cone. 2. Badger Plasma Fluid shot at a 30 degree cone directly from the bottom of the model. 3. VMA Steel at 25 degree cone shot straight from the top. 4. VMA silver 10 degree cone straight from the top. This first pic is how it looks in normal light. The rest look very blue even though the model is not. I had to use the flash to bring out the details. I will shoot the final shots in good lighting Since these are the base coats I needed to bring out the details. As I add more details and colors I will stop using the flash. No Flash All the rest with flash. (Blue looks over done because its reflecting of the metal flecks in the paint.) [[Edited by BigPapaNurgl3 on Wednesday October 2, 2013 9:19 PM]] |

Member Since: August 28, 2013 Initative RK: 1 MP: 0 | Friday October 4, 2013 12:29 AM Base colors done. Now for some washes then the mid tones, highlights and details. Does anyone have a suggestion of what you might want me to enhance or change? I am will need the reply soon as I seem to be flying through this threat faster than anticipated. If not, then I will try and move on to a bonus threat once this is done. |

As for suggestions, the only thing I can think of would be to weather the lower torso/legs a little, like just add some dust. But, really, it looks good as is.Sarge "If you ain't CAV, you ain't!!" |
