Member Since: October 12, 2013 Initative RK: 1 MP: 0 | Saturday October 12, 2013 10:48 AM Hi all, been watching various WG Consortium vids for a while, and finally decided to jump in and join the community and happened to see the October Paint Threat got extended to the 12th. So I figured, why not? Singed up and here I am.My initial threat will be to paint up Privateer Press' Wrong Eye and Snapjaw. I'll try to post WIP pictures here, hopefully first one later today when I get them assembled. [[Edited by Valander on Monday October 28, 2013 6:07 PM]] |

Member Since: October 12, 2013 Initative RK: 1 MP: 0 | Sunday October 13, 2013 1:38 PM Got the initial airbrushing done. I used Vallejo Surface Primers. Primed overall with Russian Green, then did first highlight with 50/50 of Russian Green and German Yellow Green. Last highlight and belly done with pure German Yellow Green, then mix of white and German Yellow Green for highlight on belly, followed by spot highlights of just white on belly and jaws.Gonna let these cure for a while, since the Vallejo Surface Primers really want to cure at least 8 hours before you really handle them. Snapjaw doesn't have too much left, really, just details like teeth and claws, eyes, and the chain around his neck. After those get done, he'll get a gloss coat then some oil washes, then final matte coat (again, I use Vallejo stuff for that). Wrong Eye will take a little more. |

Member Since: October 12, 2013 Initative RK: 1 MP: 0 | Sunday October 13, 2013 1:55 PM Thanks. They seem a little "muddy" at the moment, but I know once the oil washes go down they'll "pop" and have more definition again. Plus, camera phone and not a light box, just shot inside the airbrush spray booth. |
