Member Since: May 10, 2013 RK: 1 MP: 0 | Tuesday November 12, 2013 11:37 AM Managed to get some hobby time in, really need to get an airbrush. I painted the area I plan to use the Spaz on. After checking out Meg Maples blog, I decided to try going with a white undercaot, instead of the black I used on the fleas. She also mentioned to highlight and shadow before using the Spaz, so did that too. I know the figure looks a little sloopy, but wanted to get the best contrast I could, the camera didn't pick up the grey to white very well. Just have tp mask off the where I don't want the Spaz, give it a coat or two of gloss, then Spaz away. Never thought I'd say this, but right now it is too cold here in Texas to use the rattle can, and will be for a few days, so hope this weekend to get this phase of the figure done. Had a few minutes of hobby time yesterday and decided to gloss coat the beastie, had run out of my Vallajo gloss, so grabbed a can of Tamiya gloss spray. It worked as usual, but, forgot it is laquer based, so the undercoat ihas cracked, small ones, but craked none the less. Too far into the game to strip and repaint, so went withit as is. So, today I went to put on the Spaz, and the can ran out before I could finish (see photo), so will have to get a new one can today. I think I am going to like the outcome though, even with the cracks. This all outside what I normally do, so learning as I go. Sarge "If you ain't CAV, you ain't!!" |

But I stuck with it and the minis turned out just fine. I'm really looking forward to seeing you finish the mini!
