I will also jump on the "get an airbrush wagon" It really does make things easier and in my case makes up for a lack of skill as I can create highlights and fades. These things I cannot do with a brush particularly well (yet) but its a tool at the end of the day, theres a time and a situation to use it. |

I already ordered an Iwata NEO online... should be here any day now... I'm dying to give it a go. Living in Canada I also have to contend with frosty weather. The airbrush will be a much better solution than scrapping off mold lines and priming as much as I can during the few months of 'not winter' we have. Can't wait to see this chapter masters head. Unless headless is the way you've decided to go. |

EDIT: Anything with a tank on it in ths category SHOULD work as a airbrush compressor... more compressors [[Edited by MunkeyJoe on Monday January 6, 2014 2:39 PM]] [[Edited by MunkeyJoe on Monday January 6, 2014 2:40 PM]] |

Also, the Chapter Master will have a head... I just need to find the right one. Probably a beaky one, but fancy. Maybe from the new Sternguard kit. |

Member Since: May 16, 2013 Initative RK: 1 MP: 0 | Tuesday January 7, 2014 11:40 PM I started underpainting for the gold parts and the tabard. I used the same color for both: Vallejo Chocolate Brown. This brown color acts as a great base for any gold color, and it also works great as a base for a 'canvas' colored tabard. I usually put a dark gold right over the brown, and a khaki over the brown for the tabard. More soon. |

Member Since: May 16, 2013 Initative RK: 1 MP: 0 | Friday January 10, 2014 5:59 PM Further progress on the converted Chapter Master. The tabard: I put down the khaki, and then the bleached bone, and then the sepia wash, and then went back over and highlighted with more bleached bone. That's how it looks so far. I also did a bit of the banner, as well. The gold: I put down Vallejo Old Gold in all the spots I want gold, except I forgot the hilt of the sword. I need to go back and do more of that. More to come! |
