This month has just been all over the place...Do you have any plans for some more Farsight Enclave models? or are you continuing on with the necrons? what ever it is I look forward to being amazed once again by the quantity of miniatures you can paint each month  |

Right now I don't know what to paint next. I have a land rader, a devastator squad, a squad of 3 suits (which I plan on painting farsight) a squad of vespids, a squad of sniper drones, a tau flyer, a stormraven, 2 broadsides, a predator, an assault squad, a drop pod, some death company and an honour guard. What should I pick lol? |

They seam so under used/unloved, I know they may not be the greatest in the Codex, but I have a feeling they will perform differently in game compared to what the maths hammer kids are saying. Plus with the finecast versions there are so many conversion opportunities. What is your view on the Vespid?Thats what happens when you deep strike right into the heart of a Space Marine army your bound to gain lots of battle damage, but I am sure at a good price, the spilling of the Space Marines blood. Thanks so much for your wonderfully kind words, I have tried to really step up my painting ability over the past two months. whilst I have completed two of the Eight so far there are still six to go, plus drones. I am sure once complete they will be a menacing sight on the table!Thanks MunkeyJoe also for your kind words, I too think it was well oath the effort and am really happy with how Commander Brightsword has come out. |

BUT they only have a 18" range and a save of 4+. Mind you they will kill most anything they come against but they might not survive long enough to tell the tale. I plan too on using a squad and see what happens. I might just paint them.... And mine are the old metal kit, so a little harder to convert lol. |

Whilst the range is not that great I had plans of deep striking them in, to counter them being shot completely off the table I will run a Farsight Encaves army. By deep striking a few units of Crisis suit troops in there, I have a feeling they may be a bigger target, hopefully this will allow me to get a few rounds of shooting in with the Vespid. Squad wise I was looking at two options, one squad of twelve or two squads of eight. I was thinking a unit of twelve initially because they stand a chance of making it to the following turn. with the two squads of eight I could take a risk, if they land successfully and suffer minimal casualties I will then have the option to attack two different targets. You Will have to let me know how they perform in your games when you get the chance to finally use them. Oh right! I guess there is still the option of bending the legs slightly ha, but it does make it a lot more difficult. Well I look forward to seeing them next month if you do get round to painting them Thanks RustyDice! glad you like the weathering, over the last two months I have been trying a few new things and have found the new GW technical paints great for this. I am hopping to get quite a bit done next next month (Commander Torchstar of the Farsight Enclaves and 4 drones) I am also starting a unit of 6 pathfinders and whilst they won't be a part of this months or next months paint threat (mainly because I done know how long it will take to paint) I will make sure to post a few pictures |
