Member Since: October 18, 2013 RK: 1 MP: 0 | Friday April 11, 2014 8:00 PM So....I don't have pics of last night's progress, but there was some. I basecoated the dragons and began shading...and then my compressor completely burned out. It's a TCP Global TC 20T. I had it about a year, and it was a great beginning compressor, but the more my airbrushing grew, the more often the compressor would end up shutting down from thermal overload. That shortened its life dramatically. I've purchased a replacement compressor, but it won't be here until next week. So, in the mean time, I can't airbrush. I can't go further on the dragons (actually, I choose not to do it by hand), but I can work on the horses I (luckily) managed to prime before the compressor died. I also got a great start on 4 of the 8 primed horses after the compressor died. |

The metallics didn't photograph so well. =/ |

It should arrive tomorrow. There is no way I'm going to burn this one out *crosses fingers* |

Member Since: October 18, 2013 RK: 1 MP: 0 | Thursday April 17, 2014 10:25 AM 3rd set of 4 horses finished except for varnish and flock: 4th set of horses WIP, they'll be finished at least to the point of needing varnish and flock today:  I'm also building the bases for the 5th and 6th sets of horses today, and if the adapter for my compressor arrives in time (and is truly what I need..) then I should be able to prime them and then get back to work on the dragons today also. |
