Just make sure you use them right, with a designated brush and alcohol to clean (and definitely don't use from the pot). Alcohol dries fast, so use a dropper to supply more alcohol to the paint regularly. Buypainted does a great tutorial on it if you want to know more. The results are very realistic and look like metal rather than metallic paint, so they are worth it for areas that you want to pop. |

The models are painted and assembled, but I still need to do transfers, oil wash, weathering and basing. Hopefully I can finish tomorrow, because this weekend I have no time to devote to the hobby.![]() ![]() |

![]() Member Since: May 10, 2013 ![]() RK: 1 MP: 0 ![]() ![]() | Wednesday July 17, 2013 12:26 AM Thanks. The purple was easy, It was just a matter of finding the shade I wanted, basing it, adding a tiny bit of white, then painting the raised areas, adding white, then higher areas, etc till I did about 5 or 6 shades to get a gradual effect. Frankly, after I finished I at first regretted the color decision, as I thought burgundy would have worked better and tied with the army better. After some input from others though, the purple seems to work okay. |
