So I replied to the main August thread, but I decided to make a post to put pics up and stuff. So here is what I have done so far, Megalith and the Squire primed. Megalith was put together last week and primed, but I haven't started painting him because I am in a league. I needed him on Thursday to play. That is the reason for no more progress. Then I purchased the Squire and Storm Clad Thursday and decided to paint the Squire first since I am not playing my Cygnar yet. Any ways I cleaned, washed, assembled, and primed the Squire last night.. Today is one of the only full days I will get to paint, so I wanted to make sure I could just paint today. The reason the Storm Clad is not in this months threat is because I am planning on doing some conversions. Well I hope y'all like and till next time.

So here is my progress from yesterday and today. I still have some more black to apply on the legs but it is coming along nicely. After the black is applied I can apply the metals. Then the details are going to be picked out. I am hoping it turns out nicely. I had a little trouble with the demarcation lines between the white and blue.
Chung if you have any tips for masking little models let me know please. Other than this I received my Relics Orcnar starter set from Tor Gaming came in yesterday, totally stoked about that. I really like the docga's, but these guys first and then I can do some of them lol.

Liquid Mask works great, but you must put many, many layers on or it will take longer to peel off than it would have to do it another way.

It's essentially liquid latex. you brush this on. Can be found at hobby stores, RC places have the same thing, it's what I used to use to paint bodies.
There are other ways to mask, but speed is key to getting it done, right?

Keep it coming.

Thanks guys for the advice. I know that liquid mask can work I am just worried about scratching the mini trying to peel it off. I have used it to paint the bodies for my r/c's. Silly putty works which is what I used but the demarcation line is the issue, because I can't get silly putty straight like tape or something with a hard line edge to it.
So you have used it to paint models or just r/c bodies? Because I am curious to see if it will work. Basically I would just use it to get the demarcation line setup and then cover the rest with putty. I will have to experiment and let you guys know. Till next time

For now just RC, I have done that for a long long time, just started miniatures 8 mos now so I have limited experience with this media.

I don't know the model, but I thought that the line you were trying to make was made up, like free hand Ork checkers.
On r/c bodies I would quick cure the paint with a heat gun and then mask off additional areas with tape and liquid mask. I don't think we can do the same with minis and the paints used.

If you build up the LM you should be able to lightly rub it off,but then again I don't know the model well enough.

Lets see what you come up with for a solution.

So here is what I have been able to get done today. I was hoping to get more, but my brother in law came into town and so I had to stop prematurely. Ahh oh well I hopefully will have him completed this week and be able to get started on Megalith this weekend. So what I did was get the metals started. the gold is basically done, just a few more finishing touches and then the boltgun metal needs it shading and highlights to be finished. Till next time!!

So today I was able to get quite a bit done. The gloss coat is on to protect the paint job for the pin wash. After that is applied and cleaned, another clear coat goes on and then extreme highlights and any last minute fixes. Then the soot on the stack and mat varnish and viola finished. If I can get it done tomorrow I will be stoked because then I will have more time to finish Megalith and maybe get in a Relic model before the end of the month. Problem is I am going to be gone a lot this month, so reason for the light threat. I just received my first relic starter box last Saturday, and I really want to paint one. I have a docga out, staring at me in the face saying clean me and assemble me then paint me pleeeeaaaaassssssssssssseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!
Well hope you guys like and I will have picks up tomorrow even if the little ol' squire is not finished. Till next time

P.s. It looks shinier because of gloss coat, NUH!!!!
