Now I am happy with this model, but I am not overly ecstatic about how it turned out. Still playing with the colors for my Cygnar. I enjoyed painting it and I was a little discouraged because of the demarcation lines from blue to white. they were not perfect and I am a perfectionist of sorts. I am also lazy and I really didn't want to strip and restart because it looks good just not great in my opinion. From a distance it looks awesome don't get me wrong, I just know I can do a lot better, at least I think so. One other thing is I am really starting to dislike metallics. They just don't go on as smooth as I would like and the shine is just to over the top I am starting to think. I think I am going to start dabbling in NMM's. We shall see, one other note the glow effect on the front is brighter than it looks in the pics, but I got impatient and rushed that part. It is teal as well. One 50 point battle, I was Gatormen playing against Khador. It Looked like I was in trouble only for my opponent to get cocky and put the Butcher right in front of my Blackhide Wrestler. Needless to say it was over my next turn. The second battle was 35 points and I was playing Cricle Orboros against Legion of Everblight. I faired pretty good, I almost thought I lost until the fire didn't kill Baldur and he brought his warlock to close. My druids ended getting him pulled towards them and then my stones shifted my Guardian to his Warlocks back arc. Gaurdian vs Warlock, Guardian won. So 2 victories for my last two games in the league. I am feeling pretty good, ecspecially against Legion. I usually get slaughtered by them. Those are the highlights, so I went out with a bang. Next week Gencon is on so my LGS is going to be closed for that. Then the following week It is 35 point Steamroller tourny. My first one so I am stoked about it. I should have some progress pics tomorrow for y'all. Till next time. |

Best liquid masking out there that Les recommends and what I suggest for small figs:Winsor & Newton Art Masking Fluid You can also try Silly Puddy. I use that often as well but it "conforms" to gravity so it started to "melt" into the surface it seems sometimes lol Chung "Peach... I can eat a peach for hours..." |

I still need to do some refining of the blends between the highs and lows though. Today I hope to get that done and the orbs on his forearms done. I am doing a tutorial on him as well so a little slow going. This last weekend was crazy busy so I didn't get much work done at all. I am also leaving tomorrow so I really need to buckle down when I get back. Till next time. |
