 Member Since: May 10, 2013  RK: 1 MP: 0   | Sunday September 1, 2013 2:45 PM I will be staying with the Trollblood theme, and will be doing 5 Trollkin Fennblades for this months threat. Wasn't an easy decision, I just got some M2E figures in, and sooo what to paint them. But, need to pimp up the painting skills a little more before I do. If all goes well I will add the other 5 as a bonus, and/or maybe a Mauler.If this month is anything like last month, should be some fantastic stuff going on. So, Sarge says, "Bring it on, puppy dogs! No, I am not going to rant about them this time, they were not too bad, although there were a few of the," why did they have to be there?", type.I had one figure that the mold was off, just a very little bit, the pommel of his sword was a miscast, and he is missing 1 1/2 fingers. The sword was a pretty easy fix, I am not doing anything with the fingers, lost'em in battle. Member Since: May 10, 2013 RK: 1 MP: 0 | Wednesday September 4, 2013 2:17 AM Well I managed to them all cleaned up and was going to prime, when I noticed 3 of them had some pretty bad gaps, so I am in the process of fixing that. I did get 2 of them primed and ready for paint, so little progress is better than no progress. Not a real fan of the way PP has you assemble the figures. With these, the arms will get in the way of painting the chest, and head, so I will paint them seperate. The only problem is in order to get the arms on I will have force them across the front of the figure, I see touch up painting ahead. Oh well, it is what it is. Really liking these figures, they have a lot of character, and the poses are pretty cool too. Well, won't get them painted typing a response here, see ya. Sarge "If you ain't CAV, you ain't!!" |
