Member Since: August 28, 2013 Initative RK: 1 MP: 0 | Sunday September 29, 2013 4:14 PM My approach with any metal surface that I do is to mimic nature. So in the case of the Copper roof. That was about 30 to 40 dry pigment washes that I let run down the roof naturally of its own accord. I know it seems psycho to take that much time with it. But the results are well...natural. I try to create all my models to the most realistic standard as possible. Once done however, they look dull and dingy like they do in real life. With models though you need to add the fantastical back into it. Which is hardest thing for me to try and accomplish . You need all your details to pop more than they would in real life because the details are so small. Just like actors in a stage play who wear a lot of makeup. The hardest trick is to keep it looking realistic while adding some over enhanced details. This isnt my best example but I think its passable for terrain.
