Overall the cast wasn't too bad...I've certainly seen worse from Reaper, and from metal models in particular. I'm not a huge fan of working with metal models, although I know that there are a ton out there.I've also done some painting on the Dark Angels Company Master going with basically the studio theme here:    |

There are a ton of models I can't wait to paint that are metal...I guess I'm just remembering all those metal Maneaters I painted previously. They had all kind of awfulness...obviously super heavy and so much more likely to be dropped, spidery cracks in the surface on smooth areas, required extra reinforcement on assembly because of the weight...Pirate Maneater's raised arm literally just fell off a couple times! That unit weighs several pounds, lol. |

It was only $5 more than she "cost" in the KS, so I'm not worried about it though. =)I'm definitely getting the new Sophie in the 2nd KS, and that reminds me I need to finish the pledge manager soon! That diorama with the dragon, ruins, and thieves is something I can't wait to paint! Back to this month's threat...I got a little more work done on the Company Master:    I also did some more work cleaning Sophie. I have actually been on the hunt for liquid green stuff literally all over town, and apparently every FLGS that has it has only dried up ones. The one I used to have also dried up, so I'm going to just try to use my Humbrol Model Filler instead since the liquid green stuff seems to be of such poor quality lately. The Humbrol is relatively new to me, but I like it so far. Hopefully tomorrow I can get her assembled as far as I'm going to before painting and then get her primed. |
