The librarian is causing me problems... The Tamiya metallic paints have quite big pigments in them. Much bigger than the vallejo metallic paints He looks a bit disco now... Again, I'll sleep on it. Next months threat? Getting glitter out of my airbrush! RD Scientists study the world as it is; Engineers create the world that has never been. ~Theodore von Karman |

Member Since: August 28, 2013 Initative RK: 1 MP: 0 | Thursday January 16, 2014 5:14 PM Finished most of the detailing tonight bar the cloth on the front of him. I can't get the shading and highlighting to work half way decently with it and it's really letting the overall job down. Maybe tomorrow with a fresh pair of eyes I'll make a better go of it. Base is setting and by tomorrow it'll be ready for painting and flocking. If I can fit in an hour or tow tomorrow I think I can get this threat finished up and some pictures posted of the Librarian. I'll also throw in a family portrait of everything finished for the UM Army since I started these threats. Member Since: August 28, 2013 Initative RK: 1 MP: 0 | Saturday January 18, 2014 11:47 AM Hi guys! The Librarian was finished and based this afternoon, so I'd like to introduce you all to him. His name is Clive. He likes Plasma Guns, Force Axes and searching the internet for pictures of kittens in fancy hats. As per flicker t&c here is the like to my page. I'm working on a bonus for this months threat. It should be ready for priming some time tomorrow. If I decide to go ahead with it I'll post some pictures and give some info on it. Member Since: August 28, 2013 Initative RK: 1 MP: 0 | Saturday January 18, 2014 10:14 PM Hi guys - glad for the feed back. Keep it coming! Got my bonus ready for primer - Took the best part of 4-5 hours to wash, dry, clip, file and mount. Sounds like a lot of time and I guess it is. But with the airbrush I can have them primed, base coated, shaded and highlighted in one sitting. That's gonna only leave detailing and assembly. Here's a shot of the models mounted for painting - As per flicker t&c here is the like to my page. If I don't get them finished this month, I'll roll what's left into next months threat which is probably going to be a Predator (and maybe another HQ, we'll see). Member Since: August 28, 2013 Initative RK: 1 MP: 0 | Saturday January 18, 2014 10:22 PM Hey! As promised, a few shots of the Ultramarine Army so far - hope you all like! Everything you see here has been painted in the monthly threats running October 2013-Jan 2014 Without WGC and this forum, I think they'd all still be in their boxes! So cheers guys! As per flicker t&c here is the like to my page. I'm really happy with how they're turning out, especially since I've not painted an army since I was a kid and have never used an airbrush for wargaming minis (or much else for that matter). So any advice on improving or what units you think I should add to the army list, please feel free to post a comment!
