The Risen are done, actually. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Alright people, I've got an update (yay!) So I've been working on the King for several days and here's what I got so far: Started with the loincloth, using the airbrush. Gave it a coat of satin varnish, then used blue-tack for masking. ![]() ![]() Did the blue coat using mainly very diluted P3 color (Trollblood base with some blue accent). Not good reason why. I've got a very limited selection of proper airbrush paints. ![]() ![]() I want to the give the flesh a bruised/damaged look, like the rocks are poking out of it, splitting the flesh open in a very painful way. Cause it's cool. No pain, no gain! This is also the last step using an airbrush. ![]() ![]() I then switched to more conventionnal methods. This is the first drybrush step, to bring out some details. ![]() ![]() I'm having a whole lot of fun playing with the skin tone, bruises and transparency. It may be the biggest model I've painted so far, but I didn't not expected to have that much fun painting it! Next up: some inks to tone down the skin's tint a bit. |

I'm quite happy with how the skin turned out ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Next: Eyes, tongues and then drybrush on the teeth, nails and rocks. |
