The honeymoon is starting to fade between me and the King  I know, right! Brian Dugas is a great asset for PP's Trollblood line. --- Did some more work on the King tonight. He's drying right now... maybe new pictures tomorrow. |

Member Since: August 3, 2013 RK: 1 MP: 0 | Tuesday January 21, 2014 8:42 AM Prior-to-last update!The metallics and Whelps parasites are pretty much done. I did some heavy ocre and brown filters on the chains, so I'm a bit surprised they still look that "shiny" in the pictures. Oh well. The Whelps were a bit of a pain because of the difficulties of holding the model to paint all the angles. And that's several more models to paint to boot! My advice for anyone who wish to take on a Mountain King: glue the little buggers on the big guy after they're painted! I am very, very happy with how he's coming around. I am sad I have to give it back (it's a painting commission). 4 pictures this time ! Cheers!     Next: dry pigments on the metallics and skin (more rust, and dirt), a coat of satin varnish, flock on the base and moss between the rocks and finally, a proper photoshoot. |
