Went a totally different way of course, which make your George all the more interesting. I like your idea of a scroll instead of a bandage or leather wraping on the arm. Neo has a good point concerning scrolls and I fully support his approach. What do intend to do for the wings ? |

 Member Since: May 10, 2013 RK: 1 MP: 0 | Friday February 21, 2014 12:17 AM Still thinking of going with a dark purple shade on the outer part of the wings, with the inner a little lighter, overall darker than the body skin tone. Basically, VGC Hexed Lichen, mixed with black, 5 to1 black to purple, then just keep adding the purple to the mix for highlighting, haven't quite worked out the the shade for the inner wing, or what to do with the skeletal structure yet. Member Since: August 3, 2013 RK: 1 MP: 0 | Friday February 21, 2014 8:46 AM I think if you do the branches the same purple as the skin and the interior (leathery membrane) a gradient from dark brown to beige, it would tie-up the paint scheme quite well. Of course, that's just an opinion. It's what I picture when I look at the model.  Decisions, decisions! Have fun! |

Never thought of doing a brown for the wings, I think I like your suggestion. Not very artistically inclined, I just kind of, "wing it" , excuse the pun, as I paint. Still not in panic mode yet, should be able to get George done by Friday.
