Short update, got a little hobby time in, brought the highlights on the toga up a little more, I am liking the way it looks now. I also did the his eyes. I am going to try to see if I can do the scroll wrap on his arm, not sure how, but if it doesn't work it's early enough to fix it. That 's it for now, again thanks for the nice comments. Member Since: May 10, 2013 RK: 1 MP: 0 | Monday February 17, 2014 12:40 AM More hobby time in, revisted the hooves and added some edge highlights, got to the locks of hair I missed, redid the horns, and did the arm wrap. Not too sure about the arm wrap, the idea is it a protective scroll wrapped around the arm, I did it the way I would do the scrolls on the Space Marines. The problem with George is the wraps are not that well defined and they are suppose to leather, or thats my belief. But, have 2 weeks to mull over and tweek it, might see if I can add some color to it, if I don't like it I can always do them as leather. All that is left to do on George is his wings, hope things settle down a bit at work, so I can paint during the week. Here is George as stands right now:   I did the wraps by basing them with P3 Menoth White Base, gave it wash of Vallejo Sepia Shade, then went over with Menoth White Base, and then using a Pigma Micron 005 pen I add the writting. When I do this type of scrolls as well as the purity seals in 40K I start using dark brown instead of black as I feel black is contrasting too much. I recommend you to try this next time. |
