Gunmetal Grey, Nuln Oil wash and a Mithril overbrush. Then added rust / weathering with some home made pigment. Hard to see in these pics but when I'm done and use the lightbox it will be much easier to see. Need to get the basing done, thinking of stone and flock, then just a final cleanup and finishing.         |

Excuse the pictures, still getting used to the light box / lights / new camera.      for the base I actually sculpted out a disc of putty to have a laid stone / concrete / packed earth feel to it and then literally smashed it apart. Wanted it to feel like these guys were walking through a section of overgrown ruins, but you only get so much space on the base with these guys.   Now I just need to figure out what to do for a bonus threat. |

Friend swung by for our weekly Savage Worlds game and asked me to salvage his Deadlands figs. He had primed them in some very cheap, very gunky primer from a spray can, I think he said like an old can of Rustoleum. They are currently soaking in a Simple Green bath and will be getting a scrub down. My order of Vallejo Ghost Grey Primer should be in tomorrow (ran out without realizing it) and these puppies will get a new primer and then start in on the color.  |
