 Member Since: May 13, 2013  RK: 1 MP: 0   | Tuesday November 26, 2013 8:23 PM got to spend a few hours on these tonight, I originally wanted to use arcane blue for the glow on the spines, but then I remembered I had Plasma Fluid Ghost Tint from Minitaire, and after a few test applications on some spare / old minis, I decided it gave just the right glow colour. The cool thing, at least to me, is it adds just a little bit of sheen / colour / shine to the dark skin as well, which is perfect for the reflection of the light. It's really hard to see in these quick cell phone pics, but the effect is nice. Hull Red makes a great base shade for the tongue, and a great dried blood colour for the talons. Did the fire on the hands of my Pyre Troll and lit up the mouth a little. Metal will be probably tomorrow for the skirt and the arms. I also did some orange and red glazing on the back / sides of chest for some flame reflection. Again hard to see due to the quick pics but I'l take better ones so it can be seen when it's done. The Storm Troll I didn't really do much except trace the runes with some Plasma Fluid and when it dries I'll probably give it a little bit of a white wash to enhance the glow effect. also did the mouth as well. Will probably block in the leather on him tomorrow.          |
