After enjoying a few days with family and after-hours visit to the vets last night ( Lucy had developed conjunctivitis and had a really bad looking eye, thankfully all the swelling has ceased and things are started to get better for her) I have been able to get my bonus threat completed. I won't write to much on my techniques, etc used on the two drones as I had just re-used those used on Ob'lotai 9-0. I am really happy with how the bases turned out for the drones, especially the one with the rat. I think not only does it capture the death, destruction and Chaos of this urban/city environment, but also the life that is birthed and thrives amongst such terrible conditions. Lastly I have really enjoyed taking part in a Wargamers Consortium Paint Threat for the first time. not only have I been able to complete these miniatures, but I have really stepped up my painting ability, seeking out and trying new ways of doing things. I'm looking forward to next months paint Challenge, and am currently having trouble deciding which of my options to do. Thanks for everyones support, and feedback over the past month, it has been a great help and has given me the push I needed to get back into painting. Ive based the modelling and paint scheme of these miniatures around the fluff found within The Farsight Enclaves Supplement. Whilst yes a few space marines are found to be squished here the fluff had the Tau receiving far heavier casualties due to the Imperium. Besides no one really likes the Ultra smurfs anyway  |

I have a model I had the 'mid chopped up and crushed…my son wasn't too stoked…hey it's war buddy!! Blood Thirster ripped him up!! worked out great…love that effect…great work!! wish I had more time to look at everyone's posts……I'm more liking to the Chaos and all that can bring to the creative side…but it can be done with other armies as you have shown here!! |

Wow! thats given me a few ideas for maybe my next base I do, maybe green stuff some guts trailing from the body too. The new Blood for the Blood God technical paint would shine here. Exactly! thats why also included the rat lurking about, trying to capture this war against the imperium from multiple angles. Yeah same, I think its just been one of those months. Lets hope that January sees it all settle down, then we may all have the extra time we desire. Yeah the tau tend to be depicted very cleanly if you get what I mean, The Farsight Enclaves supplement I found ripped that bag open a little and with out the Ethereal's they can fight and wage war how they desire. |
